Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 5, 2026
This page explains what Torah Story Engine collects, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account: your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name. We never show your email to other users.
- What you add: stories you upload, saved stories, “told” dates, private notes, comments, reports and feedback.
- Searches: the theme you type or the speech you paste, so we can find matching stories. We don't keep pasted speeches after the search is done.
- Billing: your plan, its status and renewal date. Card details are handled by Stripe, not by us.
- Technical: basic server logs (such as IP address and errors) to keep the site running and stop abuse.
Who we share it with
Only the services that run the site, and only what they need:
- Supabase: database and sign-in.
- OpenAI: to match searches and speeches to stories, and to check uploaded stories. Text you search or upload is sent to OpenAI for this.
- Stripe: payments.
- Vercel: hosting.
- Google: only if you choose to sign in with Google.
We don't sell your information or use it for advertising.
Who can see what
- Private stories, saved stories, notes and “told” dates are visible only to you (and to admins when needed to run the site).
- Stories you share publicly, after approval, and your comments are visible to everyone, with the name from your sign-in profile, or “Member”.
Cookies and storage
We use your browser's storage to keep you signed in and to remember small settings (like “Hide stories I've told”). We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
Your choices
- Delete your own stories and comments at any time.
- Cancel your plan from Plan & billing.
- To get a copy of your data or delete your account, email torahstoryengine.support@gmail.com.
Children
Accounts are for adults (or used with a parent's permission). Stories are written for all ages.
